UV&Me is a community, service-based organization whose mission is to reduce the burden of skin cancer by delivering interactive educational presentations on sun safety to children and adolescents in their K-12 school classrooms. Members will first undergo in-service training covering the fundamentals of skin cancer and its prevention. Members will strive to not only educate but also to motivate youth to protect their skin from sun damage by adopting a sun-safe lifestyle. In reflection, members will discuss and evaluate their service experiences, with the goal of maximizing their communication skills and effectiveness.
